Money and fame are both two perks of being in the music industry, but all come with a price. Regardless if it's family, long time friends or what have you, when money comes into the picture people change, groups split and fans miss out on the next album. Occasionally, there are those few who reunite after years of bickering, but a room can only hold oh so much ego within, so their feudal efforts turn out be a sloppy album. This is prevalent in music all over including Hip Hop. EPMD split after a few LP's, reunited, made an album and split again. Fugees made one, broke up and attempted to try at it one more time nearly a decade later. Digable Planets saw their share of turbulence and cared not to go through it and went their separate ways. And the same is true with A Tribe Called Quest. After five albums, ATCQ went their solo route. Very little is know about the break up of the group, but with an attempt to go on an Award Tour, few expected to see it past three cities.

With a packed line up of headlining performers, The Tribe set out for their 41 city 2K Sports Bounce Tour; finally making there way to the great state of MD, performing at Baltimore's Rams Head Live. With tickets costing eager fans an arm and a leg, expectations were high.

Starting off was the Procussions promoting their first LP off a major label, 5 Sparrows for 2 Cents. Opening up for one the legends seemed like nothing to theses guys. Ripping through there album of hits, the Procussions gave off energy that measured way off the richter scale.

Following the Procussions was the newest member to Kanye's G.O.O.D. family, Consequence. The former member of ATCQ and Q-Tips cousin (Beats, Rhymes Life and Love Movement), showed his musical change since he first came on the scene. Sound more like Kanye these days, Quence ran through tracks off his up and coming LP. Though his act was rather short, fans would have plenty of time to see him once more.

Following Quence, was Rhymefest. Known for his commercial hit single "Brand New," Fest had to grab listener's ears and prove he was more than the flavor of the week. Performing songs like Stick, All I Do, More and Fever, Fest quickly disproved all speculations. The highlight of his performance was show off what he does best, free styling. Fest spit off the top, and to the crowds liking, all about the Charm City. Throwing out the names of local High Schools and even said "I ain't from Baltimore, but I still fucks wit Bossman." Jumping into the crowd and really getting hype, Fest left the crowd with the right energy for A Tribe and walked away with a few listeners.
