This is not the most exciting area. If Frostburg did not have a college, most people would never know about it. It is common knowledge that Western Maryland is beautiful and scenic, but, excluding the painters and photographers, a nice landscape does not keep one occupied during free time.
The Women's Studies minor, along with its associated organizations, has always had a presence on the Frostburg campus, but this year the program appears to be more pro-active than in the past.
I think the world would be a better place if everyone read my articles. It really wouldn't be, of course, but I'd enjoy life a whole lot better if I was making Benjamins every time a kid clicked on my Bottomline link. It's selfish, I suppose that is who I am. (0) comments
Music and culture go hand and hand. This week I talked to Spanish Professor, Ms. Houser about music in the classrooms, and her personal experience with music. It's weeks into the semester and classes may be getting a little dry. Professor Houser spices things up in her Spanish classes by using music to help students get a feel for the culture. (1) comment
