Do you hear it? Do you taste it? How about the smell? I sure can see it! What is it you ask? Well I will tell you once you can sense it! Leadership is taking place everywhere on our beautiful campus and it is about time we recognize one of the best strengths this campus has to offer.
Tuesday, May 6 Black Violin played a modestly sized concert in FSU's ARMAH with tickets priced at $2 each for FSU students. Black Violin, who may not be very familiar to most FSU students, is a musical trio that fuses contemporary hip-hop music with classical violin.
At least it's not just about compassion. Last week I argued that dog fighting is only one small step worse than eating meat for most people. I already noted important exceptions for people who have to eat meat for health reasons, and those who live in societies where it is a necessity to get enough total nutrition in the diet.
When I first started out as the sex columnist, it threw me into local celebrity status. I found it amazing how suddenly TKE guys were trying to make appointments to have sex with me so that they could get an "exclusive." Then again, that just shows how little the boys of TKE actually know (Sorry, I had to take one last dig at you guys, at least most of you have been good sports about it).
There is nothing but positive change and excitement to look forward to next semester. As this semester wraps up, the Greek Community gears up for another semester packed full of events, recruitment and a fresh start. There have been many changes that have occurred recently that are going to make being Greek even better than before.
The good news is that I get to send thanks to people as an athlete and as a sports editor. Let's do the athlete stuff first: My Softballers: I will miss you all and if there's anything you learned from this year, let it be expect the unexpected and make other teams do the same.
